It's just that MGM outshines it in EVERY department, although I can't comment on events at Charlestown because I haven't been to any and MGM doesn't have horses. All of the rest of the staff members I've run into have been pretty friendly and helpful. I also lost something and it was at security and OMG the guy acted like I was the dumbest person on Earth. I tried to bring a backpack in and OMG you'd think I'd had a bomb in there.
Some treat you like you are stupid or a criminal.
I don't know what kind of scent they are using but dang I could smell it all day! The staff is spotty. The smoke is ridiculous and I can barely breathe all the next day after I've been to Charlestown. It seems like once you've played one slot at Charles Town, you've pretty much played them all. The other thing about slots: Update your machines! MGM has amazing machines! Wizard of Oz, a lot of Willie Wonkas - machines with super fun bonuses. I want to be entertained for a couple of hours and I can't do that if the slot machines swallow all of my money in the first half-hour. Look, I don't mind if casinos take my money, I expect it - but I want to have a good time. I always end up winning SOMETHING at MGM - at Charles Town you will lose $100 in 15 minutes in a slot machine. Dark Bay or Brown Gelding, by Graydar out of Ghost Canyon, by Indian Charlie.
